YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

Core Tasks

System Administration  

• Installations & Upgrades: Perform and manage the installation of SAP systems, including regular system upgrades and patch management.
• Performance Monitoring: Monitor system performance and optimize when bottlenecks or issues arise.
• Backup & Recovery: Implement and maintain processes for data backup and restoration to ensure business continuity.
• User Management:  
  • User Administration: Manage user roles and access rights to ensure compliance with security policies.
  • Troubleshooting: Support end‑users in problem resolution and handle support tickets.

Interface Management

• Analysis & Design  Integration: Design and implement interfaces between SAP systems and other application systems.
• Implementation & Maintenance
  • Middleware Solutions: Use middleware technologies (e.g., SAP Cloud Integration) to realize and monitor interfaces.  
  • Monitoring & Issue Resolution: Regularly review interface functionality, detect and correct errors, and optimise processes.
• Security Management  Security Patches:
  • Apply and verify security patches for SAP systems.
  • Audit & Compliance: Ensure systems meet relevant legal regulations and internal policies
• Communication & Documentation
  • Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation for system configurations and interfaces.
  • Collaboration with Business Units: Work closely with other IT departments and business areas to understand requirements and deliver technical solutions. 

MUST-HAVES

• Completed 4‑year university degree in Computer Science or Business Informatics  
• Several years of professional experience in system or application support
• Several years of experience analysing IT‑ and business‑process requirements
• Several years of experience in project work and project organisation

• Valid reliability check (ZÜP) according to § 7 Luftsicherheitsgesetz (LuftSiG) and eligibility for an extended security clearance (Ü2). If you do not yet hold a German reliability or security clearance, it will be applied for together with the recruitment process.
